agreed. our band is currently writing its eight song.. but in comparison to the first few we wrote, its much more together. i think rather than writing more and more songs, re-working your old ones can also open interesting windows...
I have realised that some of my older tunes,even though more basic in arrangement,have a certain charm to them.I think that re-working tunes from your past can result in a good finalised song.Not only do you have the freshness of the initial recording and idea,but to go back to them adds the aspect of seeing the recording with a fresh perspective,and the improved skills in playing guitar,bass and vocals,or whatever,cannot do anything other than improve a song.
