Boozestock 2007 - december
review by Andy O'Hare

Happy New Year everyone and hope you enjoyed last week's Yuletide Top Ten - a treat then to unexpectedly catch the number two act at the Marrs Bar in Worcester later that evening as the two-day Boozestock festival celebrated its third anniversary.

Bit of a crisis on the night though as Zebedy Rays' frontman was laid up with the flu and visiting regulars Buck Brothers apparently had 'issues'

- no I didn't ask! An impromptu outing then for Pete and Chris of AWWBLOT spin-off Girls On Film and their manic but enjoyable ditties about German teachers and He-Man lies. A chance also for Pete to get onto his soapbox and treat us to his thoughts how he'd like to be remembered - bit early for that mate

Great to see ex-Hoax Band frontman Joe back on the night to check out his old mate George Clarke who must have gone on a Vince Noir leg-withering regime to get into those drainpipes! A couple of electric additions to George's usually acoustic set of memorable numbers - looking forward to his soon-to-be-issued CD. My mate Lofty's verdict - 'he's flippin good ain't he?'

Second outing of the night for Chris and Pete as the wonderfully original clatterpoppers And What Will Be Left Of Them? hit the stage.

'Filthy Little Christmas' was played a couple of weeks ago on the Session and I think it's a standout seasonal humbug gripe - well worth a wider airing! Another classy set of kicking thrashtastic numbers from Lucy and the boys - and great to hear 'L'Amour Violent' back on the regular playlist.
