Although I no longer live in Worcester, when I go back to visit, it'd be nice to see some signs of a metal scene. The pig N Drum isn't what it used to be, and doesn't put bands on anyway (I asked a while back about it and was told the neighbours objected to them applying for a live music license). Free metal gigs would be great, I'd certainly like to play one (I know I keep saying it, but I really do wanna play a show again in Worcs)!

Firstly, gotta say that the njs fest was ****ing awesome, and alot of thankyous and appreciation should be sent to chris and everyone else involved.

however, i am now left with a huge sense of dread. we lost tj's some time ago now.. and since then there has been nowhere (afaik) to put on FREE, live music of the heavier variety. certainly nowhere in or close to the town centre.

seems that the venues just aren't up for it, depsite the fact that there is a huge metal-based scene in this city.

for all those interested in reviving a free scene in worcester, now is the time to do it, after
the awesome njs fest... we need to keep the ball rolling.

if and when i find a venue that may be interested, i'll send a message here somewhere.

thoughts from anyone are welcome.
