The player and the disks have been cancled/discontinued and will no longer be made... the way of the dodo so to speak.

However Blu-Ray the other HD format won the format war and is now the only High deffinition medium. this has been going on for nearly 2 years and a fair few unfortunate people were mis sold hd dvd players thinking that HD is HD but they are now obsolete. like betamax v's VHS in the 80's

I dont get it... so hd on hd dvd players dont work? or they're just not selling them anymore?

HD DVD just died after a long and painfull death! Blu- ray is now the only way to go! so Its now safe for everyone to go HD with confidence. biggrin

I feel sorry for anyone who payed out a massive amount (£300+) on HD DVD players or bought the add on HD drive for the Xbox 360. wonder where this leaves thease people now... sounds horrible i kno but i think i would head over to ebay and sell em before people catch up with the news thet the formatt is dead furious
